Workshop Offers Health Holiday Cooking Tips

November 8th, 2010

SARANAC LAKE - The Fit and Explore Program, sponsored by the Adirondack Medical Center Foundation, is hosting a healthy holiday cooking workshop.

The holiday season is often a time when many people struggle to balance the temptations of the season, a busier than usual schedule and the desire to maintain healthy eating habits.  This workshop is designed to help an individual navigate the next six weeks without adding pounds or sacrificing holiday meal favorites.

The workshop is being presented from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 15 at AMC in Saranac Lake in the Redfield Board Room.  The main presenter for the program is Ruth Pino, Registered Dietitian, and Associate Professor of Culinary Arts at Paul Smith's College.  Ruth is also the co-owner and operator of Adirondack Artisan Catering.

Cost for the workshop is $3, and participants are asked to bring a pen and paper.  Space is limited, so please RSVP by calling 523-8370.
