Tupper Lake Health Center Now Offers Saturday Hours

SARANAC LAKE - Beginning November 7, the Tupper Lake Health Center will offer primary care appointments on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for same day and scheduled visits.

The ability of Adirondack Medical Center to extend office hours on Saturdays at its Health Center in Tupper Lake is a direct result of aggressive physician recruitment efforts over the past 18 months.

"Our physician recruiter, Joanne Johnson, has focused intense efforts on attracting primary care physicians to our area," said Chandler Ralph, President & CEO of AMC.  "Whether it is expanding services or enhancing the medical staff, we are committed to maintaining a strong presence in Tupper Lake."

The Medical Staff at the Tupper Lake Health Center is comprised of family practice physicians, Dr. Ali Parsaeian, Dr. Majeed Siddiqui and Dr. Jennifer Weibel.  The Associate Medical Staff at the Health Center includes Patricia Allott, Nurse Practitioner; Mary Levitz, Family Nurse Practitioner; and Julia Liepmann, Physician Assistant.

"We are fortunate to have a dedicated group of health practitioners who bring with them several years of combined experience and diverse medical backgrounds," said Dr. William Viscardo, Chief Medical Officer.

AMC anticipates construction of its new Medical Office Building to be completed in early 2010, at which time the Health Center will be moved from its current location in the Mercy building to the new facility across the street.
