Snowmobilers donate Teddy Bears to AMC ER

February 4th, 2009

SARANAC LAKE - For the second year in a row, the Tri-Lakes Snowmobilers, Inc. has generously donated stuffed Teddy Bears for children who are admitted to the Emergency Department at Adirondack Medical Center.  Amy Durkee (left), who is a CT Technician in the Medical Imaging Department at AMC and a member of the snowmobiler club, said donating the Teddy Bears is an opportunity for the club to give back to the community.  Also benefiting from the club’s generosity are the fire departments in Saranac Lake, Paul Smiths-Gabriels and Bloomingdale, in addition to North Country Life Flight.  Accepting the bears from Amy are Kelley Whitney (center), Registration, and Betsy Fuller, RN-Emergency Department.
