Sherman Beaudette Earns ABCD Award at AMC-Mercy

    SARANAC LAKE – Sherman Beaudette, who works in Plant Operations for AMC-Mercy in Tupper Lake, was named an ABCD recipient for the month of November.
 The program, known as ABCD, stands for “Above & Beyond the Call of Duty.”
    The ABCD Award is presented to AMC employees who provide exemplary services or care outside of their job requirements and reflects positively on them, their field of practice, community and AMC.
    In a certificate of appreciation, it was pointed out “Sherman is someone who has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty.  While his primary responsibilities are with AMC-Mercy, it is not uncommon for Sherman to travel to AMC-Uihlein in Lake Placid to assist with the workload at that facility.  If the staff is short-handed, he always steps in to fill the void.  Whether it is helping with the folding in laundry, or stripping and waxing the hall floors, Sherman performs these duties without a second thought.  Most notably, he has assisted both AMC-Mercy and Uihlein to make sure the correct policies and procedures were in place and up to date.  To say the least, Sherman is a hard-working and dedicated employee who goes above and beyond the call of duty every single day. 
    In addition to a certificate of appreciation, Sherman was given a $50 gift certificate. Adirondack Medical Center will announce ABCD winners on a monthly basis.
