Residents, Staff at AMC-Uihlein Show Holiday Spirit

December 21st, 2010

SARANAC LAKE - The residents and staff of AMC-Uihlein in Lake Placid got into the holiday spirit with a tree decoration party in the Main Lobby.

Residents were treated to punch and cookies while listening to traditional holiday music as they placed decorations on the tree.  Some of the ornaments were made by students in the Advantage After School Program at AuSable Forks Elementary School.

The holidays are traditionally a time of fellowship and festive celebration, and this is especially the case for the residents of AMC-Uihlein and AMC-Mercy.  For those residents who may not have family or support in the immediate area, the staff at both facilities double their efforts to ensure the holiday time is memorable and special for the residents.

There has been no shortage of holiday activity at AMC-Uihlein with visits from the St. Bernard's Bell Choir, carolers from the New Hope Christian Fellowship and a performance from well-known harpist Martha Gallagher.

The holiday spirit continues with a resident Christmas Party and visit from Jolly Saint Nick, along with a Staff Holiday Talent Show for residents and a performance from the Lake Placid Elementary School Band.
