New Weight Management Program Offered at AMC

    SARANAC LAKE - Making the decision to lose weight is difficult.  Making the permanent lifestyle changes necessary to keep the weight off is even more difficult. 
    If you're ready to take your weight loss and weight maintenance to another level, we encourage you to call the new Weight Management New York Program offered through Health Management Resources at Adirondack Medical Center. HMR is the number one provider of medical weight loss services in the U.S. The program offers several diet options, and is ideal for anyone wishing to lose ten to more than 200 pounds.
The program provides:
* An intensive lifestyle education with specific how to's to lose weight and improve health.
* The support of a personal weight loss coach to help set and achieve your goals.

    This shared program through HMR and Adirondack Medical Center is an added resource to help with the management of weight-related conditions, such as high blood pressure or diabetes.
    The HMR program is under the guidance of Dr. Edward Hixson, who is the Medical Director of the weight management program at AMC. The Weight Management Program at AMC offers additional services, including the Bariatric Program, which recently was deemed a Center of Excellence by the American Society of Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery.
Weight Management New York will be hosting information sessions at AMC in Saranac Lake on Jan. 9 at 11 a.m. in the Redfield Room and on Jan. 15 at 7 p.m., also in the Redfield Room.
