NBT Bank NA Donates $25,000 to Mercy-Uihlein Appeal

     SARANAC LAKE -  NBT Bank NA has made a significant contribution to the Mercy-Uihlein Nursing Home Appeal being conducted by Adirondack Medical Center.
     NBT has generously pledged $25,000 to the campaign, and recently donated $10,000 toward that pledge. AMC has surpassed the halfway mark toward its goal of raising $1.8 million, thanks in large part to the generosity of residents, businesses and other interests in the Tri-Lakes Region.
     The $1.8 million purchase of AMC-Mercy and AMC-Uihlein was finalized in January, 2007, and now AMC will embark on an ambitious expansion and renovation project. The capital improvement portion of the project is expected to cost approximately $5.3 million.
While much of the overall project is being financed through mortgaging and grants, a portion of the overall cost will be defrayed through fundraising. The AMC Foundation has committed to reach the $1.8 million fund-raising goal by December, 2007.
