Gigi Peckham Earns ABCD Award at AMC for Month of July

    SARANAC LAKE – Gigi Peckham, who is a Registered Nurse in the Stafford New Life Center at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, was named the ABCD recipient for the month of July.
    The program, known as ABCD, stands for “Above & Beyond the Call of Duty.”
    The ABCD Award is presented to AMC employees who provide exemplary services or care that is outside of their job requirements and reflects positively on them, their field of practice, community and AMC.
    In a certificate of appreciation, it was pointed out that there are countless examples of Gigi putting the needs of others before her own.  One fine example is her willingness to go to the lab to assist with baby blood work if someone is having trouble drawing a sample.  She does this regardless of the time of day, and has always been very supportive of the staff.  Another example of Gigi’s compassion and willingness to help others was with a first-time mother who was having trouble nursing her son.  Gigi was in on her day off and took the time to help out mother and child, and even stayed around in case they needed additional assistance.  Adirondack Medical Center is blessed to have someone like Gigi, who without question, consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty!
    In addition to a certificate of appreciation, Gigi was given a $50 gift certificate. Adirondack Medical Center will announce ABCD winners on a monthly basis.
