Dr. Kirollos a Participating Provider for MOMS Program

SARANAC LAKE - Dr. Waguih Kirollos, the Medical Director of Obstetrics for the Stafford New Life Center at Adirondack Medical Center, is now a participating provider in the New York State MOMS Program.

The MOMS Program, which stands for Medicaid Obstetrical and Maternal Services, provides pregnancy services in the areas of the state where pre-natal care health centers are not located.  Dr. Kirollos became eligible to participate in this important initiative for expecting mothers following his appointment as a Fellow of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).

As an approved provider by the state Department of Health, Dr. Kirollos will offer expectant mothers nutrition and psychosocial services, health education, HIV counseling and testing, and assistance with the Medicaid and WIC applications.  All women enrolled in MOMS receive complete pregnancy care and can obtain services either by going through a MOMS physician or the local Planned Parenthood office, which provides the health and support services in Saranac Lake.  For more information, contact Robin Foster RN, MOMS Coordinator, Planned Parenthood of the North Country New York, in Saranac Lake at (518) 891-0046, extension 107 or in or Malone at (518) 483-7150, extension 107.

Dr. Kirollos has been on the AMC Medical Staff since 1995, where he operates his Tri-Lakes OB/GYN practice.  In addition to his Fellowship status with ACOG, Dr. Kirollos is board certified in Obstetrics/Gynecology through the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of London, and in Gynecological Surgery through the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.  Dr. Kirollos is a Fellow of both colleges (FCROG and FRCS).
