Dave Dekkers Earns ABCD Award at AMC

    SARANAC LAKE – Dave Dekkers, who is the Director of Nutritional Services at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, was named an ABCD recipient for the month of April.
    The program, known as ABCD, stands for “Above & Beyond the Call of Duty.”
    The ABCD Award is presented to AMC employees who provide exemplary services or care that is outside of their job requirements and reflects positively on them, their field of practice, community and AMC.
     In a certificate of appreciation, it was pointed out that Dave goes above and beyond the call of duty on a daily basis even though he and his department must often contend with short staffing.  He prepares exceptional food for patients, meetings, and special events.  Dave is always working side by side with his staff, often working late hours and weekends to make sure an impressive and appetizing meal is always available.  He is always willing to help out with other projects and staff in need.  Dave is an invaluable member of the AMC staff, and it comes as no surprise to anyone that he consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty.
    In addition to a certificate of appreciation, Dave was given a $50 gift certificate. Adirondack Medical Center will announce ABCD winners on a monthly basis.
