Community Lecture Series explores bullying impact, solutions

April 4th, 2012

SARANAC LAKE - Adirondack Health will explore the topic of bullying and its impact on young people as part of its Community Lecture Series on April 18.

Bullying, especially its affect on young people, has developed into a topic of nation-wide concern. The different aspects of bullying present in our own communities, as well as what to do about it, will be explored in a panel-style presentation.

Individuals who interact with youth regularly through their jobs will shed light on what bullying looks like, some of its causes, who is doing it and where it takes place, and most importantly, strategies to confront it.  Bullying affects all of us, and the awareness you gain may help someone you care about.

The discussion takes place at 6:30 p.m. on April 18 in the Cantwell Room at the Saranac Lake Free Library at 100 Main Street across from the Hotel Saranac.  The event is open to the public free of charge.  Space is limited, so please contact Kathy McHugh at (518) 897-2321 or e-mail kmchugh@amccares.org to register.

The Community Lecture series is supported by the Adirondack Health Foundation.
