Annual Antiques Show and Sale Not Returning This Year

June 3rd, 2007

SARANAC LAKE - The Adirondack Medical Center Auxiliary has announced that the annual Antiques Show and Sale usually held the last week in July will not be held this year.
Increased cost of accommodations, gas and travel for vendors, a soft antiques market due to economics and decreased attendance at antique shows nationwide influenced the auxiliary's decision.
For 56 years this event has been a major fundraiser and has allowed the auxiliary to donate funds to the Medical Center for needed equipment.
"We will be taking this year to consider all the options in restructuring our fundraising effort," according to Nancy Depuy, Auxiliary Board President, "a quality presentation will continue to be our goal and this event must be appealing to the public near and far."
The auxiliary is committed to the prospect of modifying their fundraiser and helping the hospital financially.  "Although we will miss our vendors and patrons this summer, we are looking forward to 2008," says Depuy.
If you are interested in donating to the auxiliary or directly to the Medical Center contact the Adirondack Medical Center Foundation Office at 897-2370.
