AMC to Sponsor Runners' Clinic

SARANAC LAKE - The running season will be here before we know it.

To ensure your running season is a productive one, consider having a sports medicine professional assess any flexibility, stability, or biomechanical issues in order to minimize the risk of injury at an upcoming Runners' Clinic.

The clinics will be held in the Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Department at Adirondack Medical Center at 29 Church St. in Lake Placid on March 18, April 22, and Aug. 12.  An additional Runners' Clinic will be held at Adirondack Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation at 159 Margaret St., Plattsburgh on May 13.

Start times for all clinics are 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m., with four participants allowed per time slot.  Each individual will receive a Computerized Running Gait Analysis, Functional Movement Assessment, Biomechanical Screen with footwear recommendations, Body Composition measurements, and runner-specific flexibility and strengthening exercises.
