AMC to Offer Smoking Cessation Course

SARANAC LAKE - If you are ready to quit smoking, Adirondack Medical Center can help you achieve that goal. 

A trained Cessation Counselor will give you the tools, tips, and resources to help achieve a smoke-free lifestyle.  Topics will include discussing medications to help you quit, keeping the weight off after quitting, the psychology of smoking, what will replace smoking, and other resources that are available.

The six-week course will meet on Tuesdays starting Aug. 18 from 1-2 p.m. in the Administrative Board Room at AMC in Saranac Lake.  One of the workshops will be held on Thursday, Sept. 3.  The cost is $40, which includes the workshop, relaxation CD & Survival Kit.
