AMC To Offer Smoking Cessation Course

SARANAC LAKE - If you are ready to quit smoking, Adirondack Medical Center can help you achieve that goal. 

A trained Cessation Counselor will give you the tools, tips, and resources to help achieve a smoke-free lifestyle.  Topics will include discussing medications to help you quit, keeping the weight off after quitting, the psychology of smoking, what will replace smoking, and other resources that are available.

The six-week course will meet on Wednesdays starting Aug. 25 from 5-6 p.m. in the Tupper Lake Medical Office Building at 7 Stetson Ave.  The workshop will meet twice during the third week of the course.  The cost is $40, which includes the workshop, workbook, relaxation CD and Survival Kit.
