AMC Seeing Red for Two Good Causes

February 1st, 2010

SARANAC LAKE - Adirondack Medical Center is seeing "red" this week, and it is for two good causes.

AMC's first blood drive of 2010 is being held Thursday, February 4 in the Redfield Board Room at AMC in Saranac Lake from noon to 5 p.m.  While the North Country Regional Blood Center sets a goal of 38 units for each drive, AMC challenges its employees and area residents to knock that number right out of the Park!

By donating blood you help as many as four people.  People with cancer, anemia, severe burns and those undergoing surgery for illness or injury benefit from your generous gift.  Remember, the need for blood during the winter is just as critical as other times of the year.

Either stop in at your convenience to the Redfield Board Room at AMC in Saranac Lake between noon and 5 p.m., or make an appointment by calling Sue in the Lab at 897-2359 or e-mail sdwyer@amccares.org

Wear Red Day is Friday, February 5th
Adirondack Medical Center is joining the American Heart Association to raise money and awareness for heart disease - the number one killer of women.  Join women - and men - across the nation who will wear red to work by making a donation of $5 or more, and speaking up against this tragic, but often preventable disease.

Donations for Wear Red Day are being collected in the AMC Foundation Office, which is directly across from the AMC Gift Shop in the Redfield Medical Office Building in Saranac Lake.
