AMC Physician Achieves Fellowship Status

SARANAC LAKE - Adirondack Medical Center is pleased to announce Dr. Waguih Kirollos has been accepted as a Fellow of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).

Dr. Kirollos has been on the AMC Medical Staff since 1995, where he operates his Tri-Lakes OB/GYN practice.  He is also the Medical Director of Perinatal Services at AMC.

The bulk of Dr. Kirollos's professional training, qualifications and fellowships were completed in England, which the ACOG accepts and recognizes to practice obstetrics and gynecology in the United States.  While the ACOG accepts Dr. Kirollos' British Board Certifications through the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons in England, he was required to work in the United States for 10 years as an OB/GYN before being granted Fellowship status with the ACOG.

Dr. Kirollos is board certified in Obstetrics/Gynecology through the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of London, and in Gynecological Surgery through the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.  Dr. Kirollos is a Fellow of both colleges (FCROG and FRCS).

The Royal College of Surgeons of England, whose history dates back to the mid-1500s, is committed to enabling surgeons to achieve and maintain the highest standards of surgical practice and patient care.

The Fellow status with ACOG is a great personal honor for Dr. Kirollos, but more so signifies a high level of professional training and deep commitment to the highest standards within his fields of practice.
