AMC Offers Flu Vaccination Clinics to the Public

SARANAC LAKE - Adirondack Medical Center's Community Health Centers have scheduled three flu vaccination clinics, which are open to members of the public 18 years and older. The 2010-2011 flu vaccine will protect against the 2009 H1N1 virus, influenza A H3N2 virus and influenza B virus. 

The clinics are scheduled as follows:

Friday, Oct. 15 ~ 1:30 to 4 p.m.
Mountain Health Center

Wednesday, Oct. 20 ~ 1:30 to 4 p.m.
Lake Placid Health Center
29 Church Street
Lake Placid, NY 12946

Wednesday, Oct. 27 ~ 1:30 to 4:00 p.m.
Tupper Lake Health Center
7 Stetson Avenue
Tupper Lake, NY 12986

Medicare Part B cards must be presented at the clinic.  Individuals who don't have Medicare will be charged $16 for the flu vaccine (partially funded by the AMC Foundation).  Please dress in short sleeves or a shirt that allows for easy access to upper arm.

The Center for Disease Control recommends the flu vaccination for individuals six months of age or older and especially the following individuals who are at high risk:
