AMC Gears Up for Inaugural Motorcycle Cruise

SARANAC LAKE - The Adirondack Medical Center Foundation is revving up for the inaugural edition of the Adirondack Motorcycle Cruise to be held on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010.

Bikers will depart from Mount Pisgah in Saranac Lake at 11 a.m. and finish at the Lake Placid Horseshow Grounds at roughly 2 p.m. for a BBQ celebration.  The BBQ celebration, which is open to non-riding participants as well, is catered by Snowy Mountain Inn of Indian Lake.  There will be a 50/50 raffle, auction, live entertainment and fireworks if conditions allow.

Pre-registration is $20 per rider and $15 for a passenger, prior to Sept. 1.  Registration the day of the ride is $25 per rider and $15 per passenger.  Those wishing to attend just the BBQ can do so for a donation of $25.  The menu includes pulled pork, BBQ chicken, baked beans, coleslaw and rolls.  There is also a raffle being held in conjunction with the ride for a 2009 Harley Davidson Fat Bob motorcycle.  Tickets are $25 each or five for $100.

All proceeds, less prizes and expenses, benefit Adirondack Medical Center and upgrades and renovations to the Angiography Suite in the Medical Imaging Department.
