The scholarship awardees are:

Cynthia noted that the scholarship was a big help financially in pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse.  She said she enjoys working on the medical and surgical floors at AMC, and has about nine months to go in the nursing program at NCCC.  She hopes to continue working at AMC once she receives her degree.

The AMC Foundation is committed to improving the health and quality of life for the residents and visitors served by the Medical Center.  This includes providing individuals with the tools and resources needed to pursue educational opportunities for a career in health care.  A critical component of providing quality health care is well trained caregivers, and this scholarship program is just one of the many ways the AMC Foundation enhances the dedicated workforce delivering health care to the Tri-Lakes region.
