AMC Employee Nets Prestigious Award

SARANAC LAKE - Delivering excellent health care depends on a collaborative team effort.

It comes as no surprise that Denise Figueroa, who manages the Environmental Services Department at Adirondack Medical Center, was presented with the Rookie of The Year Award through HHA Services.  HHA Services is a food and facilities management company contracted by AMC to provide support for its Environmental Services Department.

The award is based on performance, measurable results, and customer service mindset.  Her performance at Adirondack Medical Center scored an average score of 4.41 on a five-point scale, which reflects several areas of the operation including department head scores, contract compliance, associate survey scores, patient surveys, as well as annual surveys completed by Denise's direct reports at AMC.

Although the award was an individual honor for Denise, she points out it would not be possible without the hard work carried out by the environmental services staff on the front line and behind the scenes.

"Our team has established outstanding communication and cooperation, which play a prominent role in delivering a clean environment with positive customer service to all as well as one another," Denise said.  "I am thankful to AMC for promoting an environment that encourages and is ready to assist with personal growth and development for all of their management team and staff here.  I am fortunate to be a part of the AMC Family and the HHA Family, which both continue to show how much they care and strive for excellence."

The award was presented near St. Clair Shores, Mich., where the HHA corporate office headquarters is located.
