AMC Celebrates 10th Annual Women's Health Symposium

October 18th, 2007
SARANAC LAKE - This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Women's Health Symposium sponsored by the Adirondack Medical Center Foundation.  The symposium was founded in 1997 to honor the memory of Gail Chapin Bullock, a beloved member of the community and a respected member of the hospital's Board of Trustees and Auxiliary.
In celebration of the Health Symposium's 10th anniversary, an expanded format is being offered to attendees at this year's event on Oct. 30 at the Crowne Plaza & Resort in Lake Placid.
Join us as we explore The Formula for Living Well with Keynote Speaker Rose Reisman. Attendees will learn about the 6 "F's" and how to balance the six key areas of living - food, fitness, family, friends, finance, and fashion - and make them work together for total harmony in your life.
In addition, several interesting and enlightening concurrent sessions are available for participants to choose from, all featuring local, well-known specialists in their field.
Heidi Clute, a Certified Financial Planner with Clute Wealth Management, will help gain better understanding of your financial vital signs.
Ellie Collins, an oncology clinical nurse specialist at CVPH Fitzpatrick Cancer Center, will explore the concept of a treasure chest and the relevance of breast cancer awareness.
Stephanie Gorin, Journalist and News Anchor for WPTZ News Channel 5, will discuss the challenges of balancing work and family for the women who want to succeed personally and professionally.
In addition, Rose Reisman will offer her own concurrent sessions featuring cooking demonstrations for healthy eating and family nutrition.
Registration for an evening full of fun and learning is a mere $35. Fee includes dinner, dessert & goody bag. Goody bags will include two books from Keynote Speaker, Rose Reisman, including, "The Balance of Living Well." Please contact Sharon Carey at 523-8352 or scarey@amcCares.org to register.
Registration will only be taken by phone or e-mail in order for participants to select a concurrent session.
