AMC Cafeteria Renovations Won't Affect Patient Meal Service

August 20th, 2009

SARANAC LAKE - Over the course of the next four weeks, Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake will be conducting much-needed renovations in the hospital cafeteria.

There will be no interruption in service for patient meals or change in the menu as a result of the project at the hospital in Saranac Lake.  For visitors and staff of AMC, a limited menu will be served under a tent outside of the building.  Signage will be posted to direct visitors to the temporary serving area.  The tent will also feature side panels and heat as dictated by the weather.  Lunch and dinner will be served at the usual times; 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 6:15 p.m.

Sandwiches and assorted beverages will continue to be offered in the AMC Gift Shop near the Main Lobby.

The renovation work, including improvements to the plumbing, lighting and ceiling systems, will begin Aug. 24.

Normal meal service will resume for visitors and staff pending completion of the renovation project.
