"Forgotten Ellis Island"

In celebration of National Health Care Week in early May, Adirondack Medical Center is very proud to present an exclusive screening of "Forgotten Ellis Island" on Friday, May 9th at 7:30 p.m. at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts followed by a book signing by the author/producer, Lorie Conway.

"Forgotten Ellis Island", an extraordinary book and film, chronicles the history of one of the world's greatest hospital that was built to examine and care for tens fo thousands of immigrants entering America through Ellis Island.  Between 1880 and 1924, 350 babies were born at th hospital making them instant citizens and ten times that may immigrants died there.  Life, death, healing and deportation all took place within the massive medical complex.

Tickets are $25 per person.  Tickets may be purchased at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts Box Office located at 17 Algonquin Drive, Lake Placid, NY 12946 (directly across from Howard Johnsons) or by calling the LPCA Box Office at 523-2512 (credit card transactions only via the phone).

Funds raised will be used to benefit Adirondack Medical Center's programs and services.
