Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine

Serving the weekend warrior and the Olympic athlete, Adirondack Medical Center maintains one of the best sports medicine facilities in New York.

The Lake Placid Sports Medicine Center of Excellence is a world-class medical facility for elite athletes and the general public, offering aggressive rehabilitation of muscoskeletal injuries and conditions. Our program is staffed with physical therapists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists and athletic trainers, all leaders in rehabilitation and sports medicine.

Today, individuals of all ages and abilities want to be more active and involved. The sports medicine staff offers evaluations and treatments to enhance movement and function for individuals with a variety of needs.

Our trained rehabilitation staff also can treat chronic or acute problems, as well as provide preventive health care for people of all ages. If you experience back or neck problems, are recovering from an injury or have pain or stiffness associated with an arthritic condition, our rehabilitation staff can help you return to your normal activities with greater ease. Our team of physical and occupational therapists and speech and language pathologists also is available to help you achieve your goals and return to your desired level of activity.

We are proud to serve the Tri-Lakes region with offices in Lake Placid , Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake. A doctor's referral is required for treatment, all insurances are billed and everyone receives appropriate care regardless of ability to pay.
