Emergency Departments

Adirondack Medical Center has two 24-hour Emergency Centers to serve as a central emergency services hub for northern New York.

We treat almost 17,000 patients each year in our Emergency Centers in Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. Both sites are staffed by board-certified emergency physicians, physician assistants specially trained in emergency medicine, and on-call physicians.

To contact the Emergency Center in Saranac Lake, call 897-2550; in Lake Placid, 523-8510. If it is a true emergency, call 911 or your local emergency medical services provider for immediate assistance.
