AMC Outpatient Psychiatric Services

Adirondack Medical Center Psychiatric Services provides outpatient psychiatric services for residents of the Tri Lakes region.

The services include referrals from primary care providers and community for medication management, court-ordered evaluations and treatment evaluations for patients age five and older.

Program services are offered by Steven Sonnenberg, M.D.

Dr. Sonnenberg received his Medical Degree from Hahnemann Medical University in Philadelphia, Pa., and completed his internship in Internal Medicine and Neurology at University of Washington Affiliated Hospitals in Seattle, Wash.  He completed his residency in Psychiatry at University of Washington Affiliated Hospitals with a Community Psychiatry Concentration, Rural Focus.  Dr. Sonnenberg is Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry, and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and Western New York Psychiatric Association.

Starting May 1, 2011, office hours will be held on Mondays and Fridays at the Lake Placid Health Center, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Tupper Lake Health Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
