Adirondack Medical Center provides medically supervised personal fitness programs at local fitness facilities as well as the hospital.

Med Fit consists of the following programs:

Medical Wellness
Are you interested in a fitness program, but have some medical concerns preventing you from exercising on your own? You can still exercise! Specific health circumstances, such as an injury, obesity or back pain, can often be very effectively addressed through a comprehensive approach to fitness. Medical Wellness sessions are tailored to each person's individual needs. Whether your goal is to lose weight, prevent an injury, learn more about exercise, relieve aches, pains, strains and sprains, we can help.

Get one-on-one personal coaching from one of our staff members. We can meet with you at right here at AMC, in your home** (additional charge applies), or at the local fitness facility of your choice. Programs are directed by Certified Athletic Trainers - professionals who understand how disease and dysfunction relate to personal fitness. Sessions are 60 minutes long.

Sport Performance - Individual or Group
Would you like to improve your skills in tennis, golf, triathlon, hockey, or any other sport? Whether you are a recreational athlete looking to break through a barrier, or a high level athlete wanting to reach the next level, we can help you.

This is our most specific strength and conditioning program suited for any athlete wanting to improve performance while minimizing the risk of injury. Goals for this program are very individualized and scientifically based. Sessions are 60 minutes long. We can train one individual or groups of up to 11 people. Call for prices.

Post Rehab
Have your visits from your insurance plan run out? Are you graduating from Physical Therapy, but don't feel ready to take on the world yet?

Our Post Rehab program is designed for patients who have completed at least four weeks of Physical Therapy and wish to continue to get improve in strength and ability.
