Community Health Centers

Adirondack Medical Center 's three health centers provide many types of health care for Tri-Lakes residents and visitors.

Primary care-basic, general health care is provided by our staff of board-certified doctors, physician assistants and family nursing practitioners. You may see any one of them during your visit. Additionally, you may request a certain provider if you prefer. Depending upon schedules, we will accommodate your request whenever possible. Your complete medical record is kept on file in the health center, so it will be available to the provider you are seeing.

Our preventive care services include education, fitness and health screenings and immunization programs.

Laboratory, x-ray and physical therapy are available at the Tupper Lake and Lake Placid centers Monday through Friday with a written order from your doctor.

Having a scheduled appointment with one of our providers minimizes wait time; you can call any of our four locations to make an appointment. If your situation is urgent, we will make every effort to see you as quickly as possible.

Payment is requested on the day of your visit. For your convenience, we accept VISA, MasterCard and American Express.

We can also bill your insurance company. Among the insurances accepted by the health centers are: Excellus/Blue Cross of Utica/Watertown, Blue Shield, Blue Cross of Northeastern New York, Empire Plan, Champus, MVP Select, Medicaid and Medicare.
